Known to be the sixteenth most populated city in Texas, US, Brownsville is located at the southernmost part of the American state. The US-Mexican border is at a 5 minutes distance from the Brownsville airport making it an interesting place to be traveled to.
One can use the railroad as a mode of traveling to the city of Brownsville. Bus and road services are also available as a means of travel; however, the quickest way to reach this destination would be to use the aerial mode.

This city has its own airport known as Brownsville / South Padre Island International Airport. To make a journey from the airport to the city, the airport provides travelers with various transportation facilities ranging from Brownsville airport shuttles to luxury cars.

Depending on the preference of the passenger, reservations can be made for shuttles, either at the airport or online, for passengers traveling alone. People who visit the city for conferences and meetings mostly opt for lavish transportation options. To meet this need of business class passengers, the airport is also equipped in providing cars and taxis via rental companies located at the airport. Although a car is more convenient when traveling, shuttles prove to be more economic.

The timings of the shuttles are very rigid. A schedule is posted by the airport authorities to determine regular shuttle service to and from the city to ensure that the consumers reach their destination on time even if it is a shared journey. Other public transport from the city airport includes shared vans, buses, and shared taxis. Amongst the mentioned methods of transportation, Brownsville airport shuttles are the best if one wants to have a safe journey.

The fee for shuttle service from BRO airport to South Padre Island is about $ 2.00. One needs to change the shuttle just once in Port Isabel, Texas. If the preference for the mode of travel is a taxi, then the cost may go above $ 75 from BRO airport to the island. Split cab fares are comparatively less. Car rentals can range from $ 7.00 to $ 150, depending on the type of car rented. Metro, as a mode of commuting, is the cheapest as it costs to a maximum of $ 1 as compared to bus services which cost around $ 4.50 at least.

Texas is a densely populated state and Brownsville being its sixteenth most populated city, shuttle services, being economic, is most widely used in comparison to the other modes of travel.
